Some reflections on where the world is right now with so many offices closing and staff working from home.
I started in my home office for mp|media solutions 21 years ago when I was in my 20s, then I had a period where I moved into a real office to expand and find a better balance. I loved my “real office” but to be completely honest, there was no balance and upon reflection they were my most inefficient and stressful years.
For the past 11 years I’ve been back in my home office, which I call my virtual world, and I have no plans to move. It’s busy, chaotic and can be tiring but I also have an opportunity to find more balance and enjoyment in my work, which I still LOVE as much as ever.
And as our children grow up way too fast I know we are blessed in this virtual world where I’m just in the next room.
I have also been able to incorporate nature beautifully into my working week, which keeps me motivated, productive and inspired.
